. She was told by a local garage you must have kerbed it!
Colin was so insenced by this he went out and brought a Hoffman
Dynaliner 4 wheel tracking system and started selling tyres, and since we have been fitting motorcycle tyres for 30 Years
we take our time and care.
We first talk to the customer to see if there are any problems that annoy them with the vehicle,
then we road test the car and check for wandering, pulling, shaking and steering wheel missalingment. we then put the car
on a dedicated tracking ramp lock down the steering wheel jack up the car and lower onto turnplates ( this alows you to ajust
the steering and suspension with out altering the steering wheel alingment) so if you are driving a car with the steering
on the wonk you know this has not been done. We then load the car if needed some cars like bmw's need 65kg of weight
in the floor wells and 25kg in the boot ! We then put lazers on the 4 wheels and take readings for camber, toe in, toe out,centre
geometry etc. We do a stage one ajustment remove the equipment road test the car. Refit the equipment do a stage two ajustment
and then lock everything down and do a final road test.
This is why we charge £25 +vat to check tracking and £70+vat
in total if anything need ajusting. It takes time and care and it's your life.
